#EnFotos | La Guardia Nacional se despliega para contener la migración

A inicios de este mes se anunció el despliegue de elementos de la Guardia Nacional en ambas fronteras del país. ¿El objetivo? Contener el flujo de migrantes indocumentados.

El secretario de la Defensa Nacional, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, dio a conocer que más de 15,000 miembros de la Guardia Nacional y del Ejército fueron desplegados en la zona fronteriza con EU, en apoyo al Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM), para contener el flujo de migrantes indocumentados hacia ese país. A esos uniformados se suman otros 6,500 en la frontera sur, a la que llegan ciudadanos de Guatemala, Honduras y El Salvador, entre otros países.
